August starts our busy time of year! Casseroles have to be made and sold and Marketplace will be
here before we know it. Watch for the casserole sign up at church. We need you to make chicken,
squash and broccoli to sell. It takes a lot of hands to get these done.

Our August meeting will be Wednesday the 18th at 10:30.The Board will meet at 9:30. Our Shawl
Ministry continues to meet 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 9:30am. Please let us know if you have
someone who needs a shawl~ either someone ill or in a crisis. They do not have to be a church
member.

We will have a Fall Retreat Saturday September 25th in the Parish Hall. Put this date on your
calendar, Swiss Britt, who is a deacon and works with Cursillo, will lead the retreat details later just
be sure to save the dates.

Our Marketplace is November 13th. It’s not too early to start working on craft projects. If you know
someone who might want to “buy a table” to sell their items, please contact Elsie LaRoche.

                                                         Hunger Sunday

Hunger Sunday is the first Sunday of the Month. Please support our food pantry ministry. We
need your help to bring in one can of food/soup for every adult  and one box of cheese macaroni
for each child in your family.
Death is an inevitable part of life, and yet most of us are unprepared for it when it happens in our
family. It is most often a time of great sorrow when our instincts and emotions are at the fore, and
our capacity and desire to make practical and rational decisions are diminished.  Death is
something we all need to prepare for, and the information provided here is meant to help guide
you and your family through this important and difficult time.

There are many practical issues that must be addressed at the time of death, Most of these are
handled by a funeral home or crematorium staff, but choices need to be made and costs vary
tremendously.  We have made every effort to include all of the practical information you will need.
Beyond the practical issues, death is a spiritual time. A service of Christian burial is a way of
celebrating not only the life of a loved one now ended, but the new life she/he has begun in
eternity.
Burial services are services of the resurrection, focusing on the fact that as Christ has been raised
from the dead, we, too, are raised to eternal life. Planning your own funeral with the assistance of
the clergy and having these plans on file in the church office is a deeply faithful and meaningful
act. We encourage you to do so, Whether planning a church service is done long before death or
just after it happens, the information here will give you an idea of what is involved at the church.
As the body of Christ, the death of one brings sorrow to us all.

The clergy, staff, and other members of All Saints stand ready to support you in every way
possible when death happens in your family.
