The Vestry
Though the canons of the Episcopal Church give authority over the fiscal affairs of the
parish to the vestry, All Saint's vestry members are also spiritual leaders of the parish.  They
are committed to building up the Body of Christ so that it can be an effective instrument of
mission and ministry in the world.

All confirmed parishioners are encouraged to consider standing for election, as a variety of
talents, skills and experience are important to the vestry's mission.  Serving on the vestry
does not require long-time membership or a particular background.  Rather, the primary
requirements are a desire to serve and the willingness to attend meetings and participate in
leadership decision-making.

The vestry meets once a month, usually on the third Tuesday at 6:30 pm.  Although all
vestry members discuss and make decisions about all areas of parish life, each one takes on
one or two areas of primary responsibility and ministry.

All Saints' vestry has 12 members, each of whom serves a 3-year term.  Four new vestry
members are elected by the parish in October each year.  The vestry holds an annual retreat
each June to build team skills and identify priorities for the coming year.
